New Rugby Union Games to be released this year
Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge
The Trailer
Creation Centre
By looking at both games, they don't look like very tempting games at all, both look very cartoony, and do not look realistic at all in my opinion, the closest to being realistic is the Rugby World Cup game, but we haven't seen the game as it is yet to be released yet and we only have screenshots to prove it at the moment, because I like Rugby I will most probably buy both of these games, and when they I have them, I will give you a much more detailed review on the two games. Currently the Jonah Lomu game has been revealed to be released this Autumn and the Rugby World Cup game will be released on August this year.
Winner: At the moment the Rugby World Cup 2011 game.

New FIFA 12 Screenshots and more info on the new Career Mode introduced.
FIFA 12 Career Mode
I love this new idea of player morale, where if a player's morale is low the player will warn you, and will give you information on how to improve his morale, e.g. if he isn't happy with the captain and believes he shouldn't be the captain then you change the captain to someone else. And I don't know if you haven't notice, but if you look on the 1st, 3rd and 4th screenshots you can see on the left, Youth Academy, this means at last a chance for you not to just control the first team but also the club's youth system, and that is an awesome idea, the screenshots for the Youth Academy still haven't been released by EA but I think just the sound of Youth Academy excites me, you can see they have made a lot of effort on the Career Mode, but screenshots doesn't say anything until the game is ready and the game can be bought by the public.
Also there are further news from EA, and they have announced that former Arsenal striker and current Sky Sports commentator, Alan Smith will be Martin Taylor's No.2 in the commentary box on FIFA 12, which sees Andy Gray's long partership with EA gone even though TalkSport which is currently Gray and Key's employers are on the game.

Coming Soon: F1 2011 by CodeMasters
F1 2011
By looking at this trailer, it already excites me for its release, I believed that the 2010 version was awesome, I thought the best F1 game ever made in my opinion, but the only problem was that you weren't able to do a season with two players, like I was a driver for one team and my friend/brother in another team, and compete against each other, and at last, a chance to do this with the F1 2011 version, the multiplayer game mode will awesome, especially when you can also have a season online too, that sound brilliant, and the graphics from what I have seen on that trailer looks good too, is it as good or better than the 2010 version, I hope so.
Excitement: 9/10
Graphics: 8/10
New elements to the game: 10/10

Battlefield 3
Battlefield 3 Trailer
I have heard about this game being released a long time ago, but today when I was at the cinema watching Transformers in 3D this trailer came up, the one above, and yes after watching it, especially in 3D, I thought, "Wow!", I have been waiting for this game a long time, especially with COD being released every damn year, don't get me wrong, COD is a good game, but compared to Battlefield, I don't think it should be held in the same breath, I think it's an awesome game, and every time has a good storyline, a storyline that you can play for a long time, and hopefully with this game it will be the same, and after watching this trailer I just want to buy it now, like I do with FIFA 12. Also after seeing the reviews about it, it is sure to be a big hit like the other two.
Carwyn suggestion: COD vs Battlefield winner = Battlefield
Release Date: (USA) 25th of October, 2011; (EU) 28th of October, 2011

Barbie: Groom and Glam Pups Game Review
THQ has a brace of child-friendly games under its belt and continues to belt out licensed product after licensed product. Their Barbie range on DS and Wii goes head to head with similar efforts from Activison and Disney InteractiveIn Groom and Glam Pups, a stripped down Nintendogs wannabe, You take care of a selection of glamorous doggies, dress them up, train them to do tricks and generally do all the things superstar doll models are expected to do with their canine charges.
Note to self: Dont let haydn read my posts for gam reviews again ;) .... anyway ... The game is as simple as can be. Players select a dog from a selection of Shi Tzus, Yorkshire Terriers, Poodles and others. They can then name their dog (unsurprisingly, Charlotte wanted to call all her dogs Ollie for some reason), and then take on various tasks to glam their pup up to the nines.Given the DS’ range of control methods it also seemed a little disappointing that more wasn’t put into the game to allow players to exercise their creative streaks. Colouring the dog’s hair with the stylus perhaps? Maybe even drawing patterned clothing to clad your dog in? A bit of voice command stuff like the original Nintendogs had? .. I dont know im just guessing because I dont want to go into too much detail as i know it is not everyones forte of games, except for Haydn Jones -.- who will be receiving a copy of the game at christmas due to the review request.
Information gathered from watching a short video online and a synopsis from"allaboutthegames"
All in all, it’s a shade under £13 from most etailers so you do get what you pay for in this pocket money game.

Top Spin 4 Game Review - PS3
Right, where to start, ive been hitting this game hard today to try and get the most out of it and I was very impressed! In comparison to SEGA's "Virtua Tennis4" which was terrible! For you who cannot decide which one is for you here is my review going into much detail about Top Spin 4.
Top Spin 4 is only here now after a switch in developers from now defunct French outfit PAM Development to Mafia II developer 2K Czech. Luckily it seems their aptitude for sports simulation is far greater than for clichéd gangster stories.
The unusual thing about the rivalry between Top Spin and Virtua Tennis is that both are great games and which you prefer largely depends on how seriously you want to take your simulation. Top Spin has always been the most complex and less accessible of the two, but as a consequence also the most realistic.
Top Spin 4 Gameplay: Fedderer vs Williams
Virtua Tennis 4 Gameplay: Fedderer vs Nadal
Compare!
You win no prizes for guess that 2K Czech have attempted to simplify things here, but although different it's not dumbed down. Flat, slice, lob and top spin shots are assigned to the face buttons, each of which can be turned into control or power shots depending on how long you hold down the button - with additional modifiers also available by pressing the shoulder buttons.
This might not sound too complicated but being able to consistently pick the right shot without fumbling the controller like a British hopeful takes some practise. Thankfully plenty of opportunity for this is provided in the excellent Top Spin Academy, which walks you through the basics and then tries to teach you the nuances through a series of trials.
It may seem an odd comparison but the Academy is exactly what we wish Capcom and other developers would include as standard in their beat 'em-ups. The Academy doesn't just teach you what the buttons do, it tries to explain the broader strategies and how to play the game properly.
This excellent training tool is matched by an equally good career mode. As you'd expect it's all based on levelling up a customised character and taking them through a career from nobody to number one seed. But the depth of options and excellent TV style presentation, which even include shots of you hanging around in the locker room, really sells the atmosphere.
And that perhaps is where the game really distances itself from its predecessors, which as realistic and deep as they may have been always came across as a little stiff-shirted and dull.
Of course there's a suite of multiplayer options as well, but the predictable problem is that unless you're playing someone with a very similar level of experience to you matches can be quite unsatisfying. The online modes do their best to filter players accordingly though and the depth of play is certainly worth this small inconvenience.
Although the Wii and PlayStation 3 versions do have optional motion controls Top Spin's controls are much too nuanced for Kinect - unlike the more knockabout Virtua Tennis. Both games have 3D support though and Top Spin 4's new animation system is state-of-the-art.
In Short: If not the best tennis sim ever then certainly the most realistic, and with a training tool that should be the envy of any other game.
Pros: Enormous depth and realism with an all-new control system. Excellent presentation and career mode. Academy is one of the best training systems of its type.
Cons: It still takes considerable practise to play properly, which does impact on the multiplayer. Onscreen displays can be confusing and intrusive.
The game is retailed at 39.99 GBP whereas Virtua Tennis 4 is on sale at 30.00 GBP but it is deffinately worth spending the difference on a decent game !
Thanks

Battlefield 3 - Robert Gwilym Jones Personal Opinion
Battlefield 3 Is possibly the best FPS ive ever played!! i got offered to play on the Beta and the game engine for it is insane!! it kicks infinite wards ass to be honest, plus what the fuck is this business about a premium option online! that kind of thing has ruined most games online on the PC with overpowered guns and knowing infinite ward they will include more perks for the people that can afford it. Ive lost all interest in infinite ward when i played the beta for BF3 it looks insane!! here's a list of new things that are in bf3!
1. Medic is no longer a class assault can now heal and resupply people with ammo which i think is awesome because the at the same time the assault classes had really good guns when the medic had a stupid LMG that was very inaccurate and it suffered because of the lack of medics on the battlefield.
2.Sniper Scope sway is back!! this update is my most liked because no more noobs who think they can snipe cant :L
3.Support Class is back! plus with the LMG you can deploy a bipod to make your gun more accurate this is the same for snipers too!!
4.3 attachment slots making this game a very challenging game! especially with people having different combinations i liked this part! the engineers can have flashlights under there gun and when you shine it at someone close up they get a glare and cant see hah

5.No Magnums! this means basically there aren't any perks like COD that can make your guns stronger every1 will have the same damage modifiers as they first started with weather your level 1 or 40!
6.Damage Modifiers! Say a tank pulls up next to you and you have 1 RPG left if you wanted to slow it down you shoot the treads of the tank and the treads will get damaged so it wouldnt be able to move, or if you wanted to take out the main gun if you shoot the turret it'll stop firing i think that's a pretty awesome add'on to be honest!
7. squad leader spawns! this means that you can make squads now but only 1 person per 30 seconds can spawn on you if you cant spawn on that certain person you can choose to wait until you can or spawn at the nearest base this is useful because i remember playing BF2 and you'd be fighting 1 guy then 3 people would spawn behind that guy so you'd end up with a 3 v 1 so i think this is a good update too!
8.Customisable Dog'tags And Stealth Kills! If you played BF2 you will remember when you knifed somebody you'd get a dog'tag odd them well now you can customise them depending on your level they go from bronze to gold! and you can design your very own dog'tag to whatever you want!
9.More Point Options! This Basically means that say if you were giving cover fire to the enemy so that your team mates could move up you get points for doing this now which is really neat!

FIFA 12 vs PES 12
FIFA 12 - Gameplay Trailer
Comparing the two videos (if you have watched) you can see a real difference in the two, the graphics of players faces are good on PES, which is really the only good thing about it, if you see on the video, the dribbling is more like done in a robotic way, you can't move freely with the ball and well the passing just looks awful, when you compare it with FIFA, you can see they have put in a lot of effort to make the game as much like the real game, where with tackles, the way the player goes down looks much more realistic in this version of the FIFA series, and I think that FIFA have done a good job again on the graphics, Rooney doesn't look like a massive stocky person no more, he looks more like him in real life. I remember playing PES on PS2 a really long time ago, and I loved playing it, I liked it more than FIFA, because the graphics were better and the game play was good for its time, but now it just seems that PES just haven't changed one bit on their game play, the dribbling is still awful like I said, finishing is incredibly hard again, most probably, and the passing well it just isn’t as good as FIFA, you might say that everything in the game is done robotically, but footballers aren't like that in real life. With FIFA I believe that it is a much improved game, I think they have solved one of their big problems and that was real injuries, defending looks much better from what I have seen from the video, the player impact engine I feel is going to be the best thing about this game, it just looks brilliant and I think that the video shows how good it will be (Look at Cahill's challenge on Rooney (0:50) on the video) All round looks like a really good game, and again even more difficult to use which is what everyone wants. FIFA are also going to introduce the FIFA 12 Ultimate Edition, which currently Game offers for £44.99. The Ultimate Edition includes not just Ultimate Team but it also includes monthly Ultimate Team gold packs, each containing 12 items including players, contracts, stadiums, managers, staff, fitness, healing, footballs, kits and badges. Each pack contains one rare item, such as enhanced player attributes, longer contracts and the most coveted players. So by buying this edition it will give you step up on your competitors, I think it's an idea that I feel should have come a long time ago now, where the game includes Ultimate Team game play, because Madden have now added Ultimate Team for two years on the trot into their game instead of having to make people go through updates. But yet again PES have no answer to this popular game play, they will continue to have random names for team like Merseyside RED instead of Liverpool etc, and will again include rubbish game modes like world tour sort of thing which can I say isn't a real competition.
So that is what the both games include, and I have got to say, I know which football game I will be buying this year and that is FIFA, after playing both games, I still feel the same, and after playing it that one day, I want to play it again, with PES I felt it was very difficult to control, even the person playing against me (who was a PES fan) said that it just isn’t good enough and that FIFA is three times better than PES, and I agree with him, the players was so much easier to control, you can definitely see that EA have concentrated also on players real strengths and weaknesses, like for that day I played as Spurs, and Gareth Bale was quick and good with the ball as he is in real life, with Lennon, even though he was quick he was easily challenged by defenders like we know in real life he isn't a strong player, when you compare that with PES I played as North London Whites (something like that it was), I knew they were Spurs so I made a challenge which one was realistic, in PES, Bale's dribbling skills were impossible to use, as defenders would be in a straight line tackling Bale easily and I was playing against Arsenal (well you know what I mean) and that isn't realistic as Sagna and Clichy are very attacking full backs but not any occasions I saw them attacking just simply in a straight line unless you passed the ball to the 2 full backs, and then Lennon, yes he was quick but he was really strong compared to what he is in real life, but again very hard to dribble with the ball, I realised when dribbling when you turned it moved on a very precise angle, if you turned it a bit to the right it would make a huge and dramatic turn, which I feel isn't realistic at all. On the day we weren't allowed to play any of the game modes as they were both currently working on them, so I can't review the game modes until it comes out. So come back in a couple of months on further reviews on both games.
Overall Winner: FIFA 12
FIFA 12: 9/10
PES 12: 6/10 (Needs to improve dramatically)
What would improve both games?
FIFA - stop the ping pong passes again, yes from playing it that day it feels to me that it was coming back even though they scrapped that in FIFA 11, dribbling could be improved again, introduce more leagues like the Blue Square Conference (it would be good to play as Wrexham), Welsh League etc, and also introduce Wales the National Team onto it and have an international team game mode like the World Cup, Euro Championship etc and the introduction of Europa League and Champions League instead of ECC EFA etc would enhance the reality of the game.
PES - Stop calling teams with random names, improve the game play heavily, introduce real leagues like the Premier League etc and improve the reality of the game instead of concentrating on graphics.
